Bill has been involved in photography
for over 30 years. As a teen, he worked for a small professional studio
performing tasks including B/W photography and hours of Color darkroom
work. In addition to exposing him to multiple processes and formats, this
early experience taught him that a photographer interested in artistic
endeavors might be wise to develop an alternative income source.
Along with his endeavors in starting his own
company, Bill has been working with his re-discovered love of the Large
Format image. The images in this show represent both his newer Large
Format work, as well as 35mm work.
He has exhibited with the f5.6 group in shows and
portfolios for the past two years, and last February won 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
place (in different categories) in the Annual Medtronic Physio-Control
Photo Show.
I am fascinated with light and color, both
subtle and dramatic. I am particularly intrigued by the unexpected,
transient condition. The rediscovery of the Large Format image captures
more of what I perceive with the control to transfer what is in my mind to
film so that it may be seen in other's eyes. To me, this is truly
exciting!
