Meetings
We hold a monthly general meeting, and have spawned several focused work review groups. General Meetings Review Groups
A special interest group, "Third Tuesday", was started in the fall of 2005. It is a review group for those working with, or interested in, alternative processes. This group is also loosely affiliated with the Cascadia Chapter of the Center for Photographic History and Technology. Monthly meetings are on the - you guessed it - Third Tuesday of each month. Meetings are held at East Shore Unitarian Church in Bellevue. Platinum/Palladium, Gum, Van Dyke Brown, and Salt Printing, as well as the three Polaroid techniques are the main alternative processes used by members to-date. In addition to reviewing prints for artistic and technical merit, members also discuss process, materials, and equipment (including vintage cameras) since these are important elements in successful alternative photography. Third Tuesday has plans to amass a group portfolio and solicit space for group shows in the future, as well as engaging in other projects of interest to the members, such as group "shoots." New members are welcome. Click here for more information on Third Tuesday. For more information on the Cascadia Chapter of CPHT |
