Group f/5.6 David Clarridge Gallery

Group f/5.6 David Clarridge Gallery was established to showcase our work and the work of photographers we admire. It is a well-lighted space in the lobby of the Administration Building at the East Shore Unitarian Church. It will hang about 35 16x20 prints.

In 2007, the gallery was named for David Clarridge, a photographer recognized for his pinhole camera images, who had died that same year. He is still much admired in our group and more widely in the photographic community, not the least because of his enduring love for photography and for his fellow travellers. David wrote, "I found that photography was really...a journey to find meaning and a respite from the chaotic pace of my working life...I hope that you are able to [find] peace and joy through my photographs."

Each gallery member hangs work once each calendar year.  Dates for hanging are determined by lottery and membership in the gallery is limited so we solicit new members only when an existing member elects to drop out. For questions related to the current schedule, contact Craig Huber.

Our Guest Show for 2010 year will be "Speak, Memory", work by members of the University of Washington Photo Group. The exhibit will be juried by Mark Vercammen, and will run from Nov 28, 2010 – January 28, 2011.
